TANGIER
Tangier lies on the North African coast at the western entrance to the Strait of Gibraltar where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic Ocean off Cape Spartel. The multicultural placement of Muslim, Christian, and Jewish communities and the foreign immigrants attracted writers like Paul Bowles, William S. Burroughs, Jack Kerouac, Tennessee Williams, Brion Gysin and the music group the Rolling Stones, who all lived in or visited Tangier.

Tangier was also the world's first and famous gay resort - a role it maintains to a lesser degree today. Tangier is very popular to tourists and Moroccan holiday makers and it has beautiful beaches to entertain them. Tangier has three sources of wealth; the port, Cannabis and ferrying would-be immigrants. Tangier is energetic, very likeable, extremely individual with an enduring peculiarity.

The Almond Tree Feztival, Tafraoute
The Almond Tree Feztival, Tafraoute, Morocco is an annual event that takes place in the month of February. The tiny village of Tafraoute is known as the “almond capital” of Morocco and the Almond Tree Feztival is a celebration of the gregarious blooming of the hundreds of almond trees that dot the landscape of Tafraoute.
The Ashura Feztival
The Ashura Feztival, Morocco is the most important of the Shia Muslim Feztivals. It takes place on the tenth day of the holy Muslim month of Muharram and is observed in remembrance of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein at Karbala, approximately thirteen centuries back. Prophet Imam laid down his life in pursuit of the position of Caliph.
The Asilah Arts Feztival
The Asilah Arts Feztival, Morocco is an annual cultural extravaganza that takes place in the first two weeks of the month of August. Both studio and performing artists from all over the world, painters, musicians and dancers gather at the Asilah Arts Feztival imparting the setting with color, exuberance and dynamism.

The Goulimine Camel Fair
Goulimine is a little town at the edge of the Western Sahara. This is the site of several camel fairs all throughout the year. There is a Goulimine Camel Fair every Saturday, besides a huge annual Goulimine Camel Fair held in the month of June. The yearly Goulimine Camel Fair, Morocco, one of the most famous of the Morocco fairs, attracts caravan dwellers and tribes like the Tuaregs, the Rguibat and the Fulanis from far flung areas in the Sahara like Niger and Chad.

The Rose Feztival takes place here annually in the month of May, wherein rose farmers from far and wide assemble to celebrate the year’s crops and drink to a “rosy” year of bumper crops. The Date Feztival
The Date Feztival, Morocco is one of the most popular of the various Morocco Feztivals & events and is held in the month of October in the northern town of Erfoud. It is a three-day long Feztival.
